A hunter has lost his life in an accident during a joint security patrol in Adamawa State.
The incident happened on Friday, 24 April, in Gombi local government area.
The hunter stepped on a primed rocket-propelled grenade tube inside a military vehicle as the team returned from an operation near Member Farm and Dogon Kuka.
The blast around 10:15 am caused a serious injury to his left leg.
He received treatment but died later.
Soldiers from 232 Battalion and local hunters took part in the patrol.
The team worked together against terrorists in the area.
