Terrorists take over Adarawa community in Isa LGA, Sokoto, as residents flee. Residents abandoned the village after months of attacks and sought safety in Isa town and nearby areas.
Terrorists then moved into the empty settlement.
They converted the local school and health centre into a base.
From there they coordinate movements and launch further attacks on surrounding communities.
Conflict researcher Bakatsine reported the occupation and warned that the situation could worsen without quick action to remove the group.
Neighbouring residents now fear more raids, kidnappings and cattle rustling from the new camp.
Community leaders call for stronger security operations so displaced families can return home.
The development adds to ongoing insecurity across parts of Sokoto State, especially along the Sokoto-Zamfara corridor.
