US President Donald Trump has told Iran to accept a set of demands or face renewed military pressure at a greater scale.
In a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump said Operation Epic Fury will come to an end and the Strait of Hormuz will reopen to all traffic if Tehran meets the latest US terms.
He added that failure to agree will lead to further strikes at a much higher level than before.
The warning comes after weeks of tension in the region.
Iran closed the strait earlier this year during clashes that followed US and Israeli strikes.
The waterway serves as a key route for global oil shipments, and the closure has affected energy markets worldwide.
Trump wrote: “Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is perhaps a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran.”
He continued: “If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before.”
Negotiators from both sides have held talks in recent days.
Sources close to the discussions say the US wants Iran to limit its nuclear work, accept inspections, and stop actions that disrupt shipping.
Iran has not yet given a public response to the latest message.
The current ceasefire remains in place for now, but officials in Washington say they want a clear agreement soon to avoid any return to open conflict.
Shipping companies continue to watch the situation closely as any change in the strait can quickly raise costs for fuel around the world.
This latest statement from Trump shows the pressure on Iran to reach a deal while the US keeps its options open.
