BEDC worker dies after electrocution hits him as he repairs pole in Ado Ekiti. A BEDC worker climbs the electricity pole near the Federal Polytechnic satellite campus in Ado Ekiti to restore power.
He works on the fault. Then the current passes through him. After that he grows weak on the pole.
Residents notice and raise the alarm. Next his colleague climbs up and helps him.
Following that Ekiti State Fire and Emergency Service workers arrive and bring him down. They take him to hospital.
Hospital sources later say he dies while he receives treatment.
Meanwhile some reports from hospital and BEDC officials claim he lives and still gets care.
