Terrorists killed one man and abducted about ten others, including children and a pregnant woman, from a residence in Zuturung Tintaah village, southern Kaduna.
The attack took place on Wednesday night at the home of Mr Sunday Stephen Michael in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
Terrorists raided the house and shot dead his 48-year-old neighbour, Mr Yashim Raphael.
They then took the group away. A family source described the raid.
“A kidnapping incident occurred at Mr Sunday Stephen Michael’s residence,” the family member said.
“The terrorists raided the house, killing 48-year-old Mr Yashim Raphael, a neighbour.
About ten people, including women, children, men, and a pregnant woman, were abducted.”
The incident adds to a string of attacks across southern Kaduna in recent days.
On Sunday terrorists struck a wedding in Kukyer and Kahir villages in Kagarko Local Government Area, where they killed at least 13 people and took 28 others.
Local residents continue to call for stronger security measures to protect rural communities from further violence.
