Terrorists killed 15 residents and abducted several in Falale village, Katsina State, on Tuesday despite peace deal with government.
The terrorists entered Falale village in Daddara district of Jibia local government area during the day.
They shot at residents and left bodies on the ground.
A video from the scene shows the bodies with leaves placed over their faces as people gathered around them.
Security alert sharer Bakatsine confirmed the numbers.
He said the terrorists killed at least 15 residents, injured many others and took several away in the attack on Falale village, Daddara district in Jibia local government area of Katsina State.
The attack follows a peace deal that chairmen from 20 local government areas signed with the terrorists in November last year.
The deal aimed to cut attacks and abductions.
Bakatsine asked how communities still face such raids despite that agreement.
Residents called on security agencies and the government to step in, protect the area and bring those responsible to justice.
Falale village sits near the border with Niger.
Terrorists have targeted it and nearby places before for killings, abductions and cattle theft.
Some villagers have already left their homes.
This latest raid adds to attacks in the state since the deal took effect.
People in the area continue to seek safety from the groups that operate from forests along the border.
