Terrorists detonated an explosive device outside a Jewish school in Amsterdam overnight and damaged its exterior wall but left no one injured.
Police officers and firefighters reached the scene in the Buitenveldert district within minutes and began their investigation.
Security cameras captured clear footage of a terrorist placing the device against the wall before it exploded.
Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema spoke out straight away.
She said the blast marked a deliberate strike on the Jewish community and added that schools must remain safe places for children while Jews must feel secure in the city.
She stressed that antisemitism keeps rising and that such behaviour stays unacceptable.
Prime Minister Rob Jetten also reacted quickly.
He called the incident terrible on X and promised to meet Jewish community leaders soon.
He made clear that antisemitism holds no place in the Netherlands and that everyone must feel protected there.
This event fits into a pattern of similar strikes on Jewish sites.
The night before terrorists hit a synagogue in Rotterdam with arson and police arrested four men in connection with that case.
Earlier in the week an explosion struck a synagogue in Liege in Belgium and caused damage there too.
These attacks come as the US-Israeli conflict with Iran spreads tension across the region and beyond.
Officials now treat every incident with the highest priority and step up security at Jewish institutions across Europe.
