Russia has launched more than 400 drones and at least ten ballistic missiles across Ukraine since Thursday evening.
The strikes reached areas near the front line and other parts of the country.
In the Kharkiv region one person died and 25 others suffered injuries after missiles bombs and drones hit the area.
Meanwhile military spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat said the attacks match a pattern from earlier this week.
Overnight drone strikes came first followed by attacks during the day.
The strikes have closed schools public transport and government services in parts of Ukraine.
Air raid alerts have sounded for hours at a time.
Officials say defence operations and investigations continue as Ukraine repels the attacks.
