Iranian forces shot down a US fighter jet on Friday, and the United States and Israel responded with more than 200 attacks across 13 provinces in Iran.
The strikes killed at least one civilian, according to the US-based Human Rights Activists in Iran group.
Its news service, HRANA, said the attacks took place over a 24-hour period on Friday.
The rights group keeps a running count of deaths since the war began on 28 February.
It reports that 1,607 civilians, 1,213 military personnel and 711 people of unknown military status have died in total.
Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education gives a lower figure of 2,076 people killed so far.
The latest strikes follow weeks of fighting between the two sides.
Iran and the US-led coalition continue to trade blows, but neither side has commented directly on Friday’s jet incident or the wave of attacks that followed.
Human Rights Activists in Iran based its information on reports from inside the country.
The group has tracked the conflict since it started at the end of February.
