Terrorists detonated bombs at Maiduguri’s Monday Market and University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital gate shortly after iftar, with many feared dead and several injured.
The attacks took place around 7pm on Monday in Borno State.
Borno State Police confirmed the incidents and said their explosives disposal unit now works at the scenes.
Officers also clear the Post Office area where one blast reportedly occurred.
Rescue teams continue operations at the sites.
Police have not yet released exact casualty figures because assessments remain under way.
The public relations officer advised residents to avoid the locations and provided emergency contacts for help.
Witnesses reported hearing the explosions and seeing people run for safety.
Emergency workers evacuated the injured to hospitals in tricycles and ambulances, including the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and the State Specialist Hospital.
Federal Fire Service teams arrived at the Monday Market section near Elkanemi to assist.
Security forces cordoned off the affected zones and searched for additional devices.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
The incidents unfolded during Ramadan in a city that has faced repeated threats from terrorists in the northeast.
